Additional Parking information:

Balbirnie House sits as a truly stunning heritage asset for Scotland, as the focal centerpiece of the 400 acre Balbirnie Park. Over the recent decades Balbirnie Park itself has become a popular tourist destination, and from 2023 onwards is set to become even more popular, with destination visiting and stopover status defined on the brand new Fife 191 driving route. Balbirnie Park is destination 18 https://www.fife191.com/map

We also highlight that beautiful Balbirnie Park is a vibrant destination for all sorts of recreational activities. The park itself also includes a stunning 18-hole golf course.

With all evolving progress, in 2023 Balbirnie House made significant investments and introduced state-of-the-art technology across the entire span of parking portfolio, primarily to ensure that we retain sufficient and convenient parking spaces for all guests who are visiting our hotel. So to assist with this, parking charges are applicable. With sustainability to the fore, we also introduced a set of ten pre-reservable electric vehicle charges, which have capability to deliver 8 million miles per year, of clean electric driving.

We would like to highlight that we are now introducing multiple electric vehicle charging stations. These charging stations are pre reservable via the Go Zero App

Additionally, state-of-the-art parking portfolio, whereby parking is via App payment. We have introduced a parking charge at £1 per hour up to 6 hours (for non-hotel guests).

For guest who dine at Balbirnie for their afternoon tea, evening meal or are residents they will receive complimentary parking.

To receive complimentary parking, guests will have to insert their car registration details into the designated tablet at the hotel reception.

DISABLED PARKING

Please note that The Blue Badge Scheme is not within Balbirnie House Hotel car parks. Parking charges are applicable.

BRAND NEW (non electric vehicles) 2024 DISABLED PARKING

Drive up the Balbirnie driveway, and past Balbirnie House. Turn first left, and drive onwards to the fully paved car park located to the immediate west of the house. This is in the image top left.

BRAND NEW 2024 DISABLED ACCESS

As well as new ‘smooth roll’ disabled access along the southern elevation of Balbirnie House (and then into the hotel via ramp access), this also fully enables new disabled access to our southern lawns as well.

BRAND NEW 2024 DISABLED EV CHARGING

We are absolutely delighted to have delivered totally new capabilities for the combination of disabled parking and electric vehicle charging. For those who are familiar with previous disabled parking, these are located at the paved area at the hedge in our front car park. These are now designated only for disabled electric vehicle charging. Two spaces are designated as Bays 9 and 10. They are defined and pre-reservable via GoZero App.

We point out that these parking spaces are now only designated for charging for electric vehicles.

We also mention that for example, for guests with electric vehicles staying overnight, please feel free to charge vehicles, and then so as to free up ev chargers for other guests, feel free to move charged car and park overnight as per below.

For all non-electric vehicles, for 2024 we are delighted to now offer:

We have now made significant investments so as to change all surfacing along the pathway on the southern elevation of Balbirnie House.

This has changed from previous large pebbles, to new ‘smooth roll surface’, completely changing disabled access.

From our previous two designated disabled parking spaces, this now opens our entire western car park up to complete disabled access.
