Getting to Balbirnie
"Balbirnie House is easily accessible with or without a car. I would thoroughly recommend taking the First ScotRail train – just 45 minutes from Edinburgh Waverley to Markinch station. By arrangement, a taxi will be there to collect you and whisk you to the hotel 5 minutes away. Balbirnie is a wonderful blend of gracious classic architecture and homely comforts. The tranquil garden setting, beautifully decorated bedrooms and gourmet dining all combine to offer a relaxing haven of peace and quiet - with all the treasures of the Kingdom of Fife to explore on the doorstep.”

Large (i.e. single decker and bigger) buses are physically unable to park up around the area immediately in front of Balbirnie’s main guest entrance.
