Balbirnie as a destination can be as active or relaxing as your mood dictates  – a leisurely walk in the park, a morning’s golf on Balbirnie Park 18-hole golf course, or simply browsing through the shelves of the old library and taking it easy.

Apart from being the international Home of Golf, Fife is rich in other recreational pursuits including fishing, clay pigeon shooting, falconry, horse riding and water sports to name but a few. For the less energetic, how about croquet on our garden lawn?

In a broader context, Fife’s beautiful winding coast and rolling countryside offer a huge amount to explore  – quaint seaside villages, stately homes and historic castles and gardens to visit.

Balbirnie – and Scotland – is beautiful whatever the weather, but if you’d like an idea of what to pack, have a look at the local weather reports.
